you have to read The Alice series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. it's all about everyday life of Alice as she grows up through her school years. im still following the books and i started in 7th grade, and now im a senior in high school

The one that I'm about finished reading is %26quot;The Namesake%26quot; by Jhumpa Lahiri. Its about an Indian family, mostly about the son, and thier lives in America. There was a movie released, not too long ago, based on the book. The movie stars Kal Penn as the American born son Gogol Ganguli.
Grape Thief. by Kristin L. Franklin
it is a book about 1925....i read it when i was about 10, and i thought it was really good. nothing REALLY big happens...like, there are no vampires or wizards or aliens or anything, but it is most definitely not boring.
I don't know. The only books I can think of are by Dean Koontz, and he's not totally appropriate for most 12-year-olds.
