Bullying & it's consequences?

When I was in college, there was a very quiet and innocent classmate of mine. He unfortunately never had a social group for himself as he was very quiet %26amp; reserved. As it turned out, a group of guys in the class started picking on him %26amp; attacking him physically - it made him completely paranoid %26amp; trembling in fear. He tried reporting this to the college authorities, but in vain – they would simply laugh it off everytime. This happened on a regular basis for about a year.

The next year, this guy completely changed – from being shy and innocent to very strong and intimidating. One day he confronted the group of bullies %26amp; he beat them up very badly with a bat. The victims were hospitalized %26amp; the police pressed charges against him. However after support from us %26amp; the authorities, the charges were dropped against him %26amp; the bullies. The bullies were kicked out of college, while this guy was handed a one-year suspension.

After he returned, we thought he would have become mature – but he didn’t. He was still as angry and intimidating as he was the last year. His acquired ‘bad guy’ attitude earned him a very bad name in college %26amp; talks were going around that he used to bring knives and weapons %26amp; threaten the staff. Eventually, action was taken against him and he was kicked out of college. Today, the poor guy has been struggling to find a decent job because he doesn’t have a decent degree.

My question to all of you is why does bullying go on even to this day, the 21st century? And why does anyone not take effort to stop this malpractice from ruining innocent people’s lives? And what do the bullies really want from all of this – to change the innocent victim’s behavior so that he can kick their asses %26amp; kick others asses as well that will destroy his future completely?
Bullying %26amp; it's consequences?
Two wrongs do not make a right,in this case anyway...Life is what you make it despite the influences that may have effects on it..This dudes %26quot;bad guy%26quot; attitude is a reflection and reaction to how he was treated by bullies, yet he chose destruction rather than success

once he had a chance to rectify it...Bullies are outrageous, not to mention immature behavior, and their purpose in life is over rated, but in the long run, life itself will bring dismay to their own lives if it progresses into adulthood...Karma has a way of equaling

out the good %26amp; bad..=)
