The consequences of Bullying (need serious answers, please)?

When I was in college, there was a very quiet and innocent classmate of mine. He unfortunately never had a social group for himself as he was very quiet %26amp; reserved. As it turned out, a group of guys in the class started picking on him %26amp; attacking him physically - it made him completely paranoid %26amp; trembling in fear. He tried reporting this to the college authorities, but in vain 鈥?they would simply laugh it off everytime. This happened on a regular basis for about a year.

The next year, this guy completely changed 鈥?from being shy and innocent to very strong and intimidating. One day he confronted the group of bullies %26amp; he beat them up very badly with a bat. The victims were hospitalized %26amp; the police pressed charges against him. However after support from us %26amp; the authorities, the charges were dropped against him %26amp; the bullies. The bullies were kicked out of college, while this guy was handed a one-year suspension.

After he returned, we thought he would have become mature 鈥?but he didn鈥檛. He was still as angry and violent as he was the last year. His acquired 鈥榖ad guy鈥?attitude earned him a very bad name in college %26amp; people said he even brought knives and weapons %26amp; threatened staff members. Eventually, action was taken against him and he was kicked out of college. The poor guy has since been struggling to find a decent degree or job.

My question to you is what do the bullies really want from all of this 鈥?to change the innocent victim鈥檚 behavior so that he can kick their asses %26amp; kick others asses as well that will destroy his future completely? ? And why does anyone not take effort to stop this malpractice from ruining innocent people鈥檚 lives?

This seems to be a graphic scenario of a very common situation that most people choose to close their eyes and ears to.It almost always lead to a disaster whitch sometimes takes place many years later, and the S.O.P. afterward is %26quot;whatever made him/her do smething like that, I just don't understand%26quot;!

Your aquaintance in college went to far. He became the person who tormented him. I was bullied for twenty years or so, martial arts teaches various discipline that he never absorbed or had available to him. Within reach of my arms or armament no bullying can take place. I hate that most of all, cannot allow bullying. I only hope I do not become a bully trying to enforce this rule. Bullies are basic cowards, rarely alone and need to build their own sense of worth. They choose the wrong way.
