Why does the colour of some people's hair and eyes change as they get older?

When I was little I had pale blonde hair and as I got older, it changed to light brown. My mum had dark brown eyes for most of her life, but when she got to her thirties they slowly changed to a hazel/green colour.

Pigment cells in both become less active with age.

Melanin? Sun? Chemicals?
hair dye and contact lenses are the culprits of such changes.
i'm black and when i was little..i used to have very dark blue eyes but when i turned 5-6 years old changed to dark brown eyes...so i gues its part of the nature unless theres something wrong with your body!
